The size range for engine discs supplied by Bohler covers small helicopter discs weighing a few kilos up to the largest scale engines with forging weights exceeding 350 kg. |

Computer simulation and modelling are extensively used to support the development and guarantee the success of the forging processes. Together with all the achievements made in microstructural and mechanical product requirements, the simulation allows for defining the stable forging process. |
Inside Bohler a dedicated team is assigned with the process development and the production surveillance of jet engine discs as these products, being the most sensitive parts with regard to process stability. The production spectrum of Bohler high volume parts includes LPT discs for V2500 as well as the most recent applications such as GEnx LPT discs. | |
